Personality
Thistlestar is kind and caring, always trying to do what is best for everyone, even before doing what is best for himself. His goal, from even before he became an apprentice, was to become a strong warrior who could protect his clan from any threat and every day he has worked towards that goal. When he became the leader of the clan, he made a promise to himself that he would protect his clan and try to avoid conflict as much as possible, becoming accepting of loners and helping them to keep moving to avoid bringing his clan into any fights.
The love that he has seem infinite, accepting of everybody who crosses his path, no matter whether that was a member of his clan or not, often sympathising with loners who he crosses paths with. However, this often results in him being too soft with cats, refusing to punish them harshly or even exile cats. There are cats in the clan, especially the older cats, that believe that his naivety and kindness will be his undoing, but he works every day to prove them wrong.
Despite his disliking for conflict, he can hold his own in a fight, proving to the clan that he deserves his role in the clan. Thistlestar works everyday to improve his fighting skill because while he has the stamina and speed, he does not have the strength due to his small stature. He often likes to take the apprentices and show them other fighting techniques, often involving less lethal methods to taking down their opponents, in hopes that they can follow his path of remaining a peaceful clan.

History
Thistlestar was born into the clan where his mother was a warrior who was shunned for loving a kittypet. When he and his brother were born, his mother took them from the camp, raising them as loners in the Twoleg Place. However, once he became six moons old, he left with his brother to beg the clan to take them in, wanting the life of a clan cat. With great reluctance, he was allowed to re-join the clan, but it took a while for anybody to trust him, unable to forget about how his mother betrayed the clan.
As he moved up ranks, the clan became more open and trusted him more. He managed to make friends with other apprentices and proved that he was dedicated to the clan. During Thistlepaw’s warrior ceremony, he was given the name Thistlestrike because of his agility and his use of claws in his fights. Once he was a warrior, Thistlestrike was seen as loyal to the clan, incapable of ever betraying them.
When Thistlestar hit 31 moons, Cricketchirp, became sick with a mysterious illness, very quickly became weak. Cricketchrip’s illness was found not to be contagious so he would often be found dragging himself around the camp, laughing and trying to cheer up everyone. Thistlestrike stayed by the side of his brother, wanting to spend every moment with him as he became sicker. After his brother passed, Thistlestrike shut everyone out and became very cold as he grieved for the loss of his only family member by blood left.
Thistlestrike’s coldness impressed the leader of the clan, Duskstar, who decided to make him deputy when the previous one died. As he recovered from the grieving process, Duskstar became disapproving of the friendliness of Thistlestrike and his openness with other cats, sending him out on difficult missions in hopes that he wouldn’t return. The leader even sent out a rogue to try and take him down.
Once Duskstar was killed by one of her rogues, Thistlestrike became the leader of the clan and vowed to change the coldness that she thrust open his clan that looked down on anybody that was not in the clan.
