The Camp
Thornclan’s camp was built around the elemental stones, using them as boundaries. On the North, there is the Earth Stone. On that side of camp, there is the medicine den as well as the queen den. On the east side of camp, the Air Stone can be found, alongside one of the den’s for warriors. The Water Stone is found behind the Leader’s den in the south, hidden behind trees that tower over it. The Fire Stone is the most difficult to locate. It is on the West of the camp border, hidden in an alcove. Around this alcove, there is another Warrior den for the more skilled and older warriors, as well as a den for the Elders.
In the centre of the camp, the Spirit Stone was placed generations ago as a form to contact the ancestors. However, it is impossible to tell who is contacting you unless you know the fallen; it is especially easy for the darker ancestors with malicious goals to use it to trick the cats. Although it is safer to contact the right ancestors at the Crying Mountains, many of the prophecies first come from the stones before the cats travel to the Crying Mountains to confirm to trustworthy nature of the prophecy. To the left of the Spirit Stone, the fresh kill pile can be found, with many of the cats believing that by having it so close to the stone, the ancestors will protect it from anything that may threaten it, such as thievery and diseases.
Where the clan holds its meetings are determined based on what element the leader feels closest to. Currently, meetings are held by the ridge above the Earth Stone. All the cats that are strong enough to attend will climb up the ridge and form a semi-circle facing their leader, Thistlestar.
