The Warrior Code
1. While you are to defend your clan with your life, all war should be avoided at all costs. You must find a solution to the conflict before the violence ensues.
2. No clan member should be found in another Clan’s territory without the permission of the other clan.
3. No apprentice or warrior should eat before those who cannot hunt for themselves: elders, queens and kits get first choice of food.
4. During all meals, a cat is to gift a piece of the food to the ancestors, thanking them for the meal and protecting the clan.
5. No kit should be made an apprentice before 6 moons, unless they are becoming a medicine cat in which they may become an apprentice when the ancestors believe they are ready.
6. A cat must have been a mentor to at least one apprentice before becoming the deputy.
7. The deputy can only become leader once the previous leader willingly gives up the title, dies or is exiled.
8. When the deputy retires or dies, the new deputy must be chosen within two moonfalls and not before one moonfall.
9. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. If a cat is seen trespassing, they must be questioned on their presence in the territory.
10. No kit should be ignored, especially if they are in pain or danger. If the kit is a loner, the clan should take them in with open arms.
11. The word of the clan leader is final; they should not be questioned for their actions as long as it follows the code.
12. While violence is to be avoided at all costs, an honourable warrior knows when a fight is inevitable. The fight should avoid killing other cats unless it is in self-defence or the cat broke the warrior code.
13. The warrior cat must reject the life of a kittypet, void of all luxuries.
14. The clan is to protect the other neighbouring clans if the times arise, making sure that nothing can result in the fall of a clan.
