Personality
Bluemoon is a very isolated cat, not liking to be in the company of many. She finds herself getting uncomfortable in social situations that involve more than a couple of other cats. This leads her to often avoid going to gatherings, making up excuses as to why she cannot be there, often ones being that the sick cats need for her to stay behind and care for them.
Bluemoon likes to hide away, but when she does make an appearance in the clan, she is trying her best to help anybody who looks lost or uncertain. The freedom of other cats to enter the clan’s territory creates a tension between her and the outside world, uncomfortable with any contact with cats that she does not know.
Although, when a cat becomes her friend, she will love them unconditionally, doing anything to protect them. Some cats say that the love she displays towards her friends is to make up for her inability to have a mate.
The health and well-being of other cats is what drew Bluemoon into being a medicine cat because she realised that she loved to see cats get better after being sick, knowing that she did what she could to make them healthy again.
Because of her duties as a medicine cat, Bluemoon never learnt how to fight so she knew that if there was a situation where she must fight to defend the clan, she would very easily be overpowered, losing the fight. However, she will happily stand on the backlines, healing the injured, to do her part in a fight.

History
Bluemoon was born into the clan in a litter of three kits, but she was the only kit to survive. This led to her father being distant with her mother, unable to bear with the loss of his kin. However, Bluemoon had a very close relationship with her mother as a result of this, always staying by her side as a kit.
As she grew to the end of the years as a kit, she would often wander off to the medicine cat den, watching the cats at work. Bluemoon began helping them, gathering herbs with the medicine cats when they are low on supplies.
Once she hit the age of apprenticeship for a medicine cat, the current medicine cat, Tigerlily, begged Duskstar to permit the kit to train as a medicine cat – who reluctantly agreed, not seeing the need for another medicine cat.
Due to her helping the medicine cats as a kit, Bluemoon had found that she already knew the basics on herbs and their names, making it easier for her to learn about the herbs and their purposes, especially since she already knew how to find them. The more that she trained, the more Bluemoon realised that she loved to help cats and loved to heal them.
However, she did not feel as though she deserved to be a medicine cat because the illusive ‘starclan’ did not give her prophecies unlike the medicine cats of the other surrounding clans. She feels guilty, as though she does not deserve this position. Despite her insecurities, her shy nature made it impossible for her to talk to the other cats about this, not wanting to disappoint anyone or be forced to train as a warrior.
