Task 7: What types of prey are in your clan's territory?
The prey that is found in the clan’s territory is typical to that of the English countryside. On the ground, the prey mainly consists of rabbits, shrews, voles, mice, squirrels, hares and stoats.
If the cats are struggling to find prey or hunting at night, they can catch bats, toads and rats. However, most of the cats prefer to stay away from these forms of prey due to the taste and difficulty to catch them.
In the sky, the cats prefer to hunt smaller birds such as robins, tits, starlings, sparrows, jays, blackbirds and goldcrests. If a bird is any bigger than their head, the cat is unlikely to attempt to hunt it.
On the rare occasion that the cats cannot find any prey, they may go to the lake to hunt for fish, especially carp, pike and perch, but they will eat any fish that they catch – except for eels.
