Personality
King is a cat who is very charming, often being described as a lady’s man. He’s constantly smiling and complimenting any cat he passes. While many cats view it as his usual rambunctious nature, it’s more to do with the fact that he just wants to make others feel good about themselves. King is not a fan of negativity so often loves to compliment cats so he can brighten their days, making even a bad day have a small amount of good to it.
However, despite his desire to make cats happy, he does love to flirt. He has never been a cat for mating, but he does love romance and flirting with she-cats. King loves receiving compliments just as much as giving them, but his greatest desire is to find another she-cat who loves him despite his desire to flirt, not stopping him from flirting because she understands his need to please other cats.
The tom has a big heart and is just a big softie really. King loves to be helpful and helping the queens with whatever they need, such as gathering moss or retrieving prey for them, helps him feel like he has a purpose, especially since he was never a good fighter or hunter, making him incapable of being a warrior. It gave him a place in the class.

History
King was born as a kittypet, growing up surrounded by no other cats. He stayed inside the houses that the twolegs lived and he was happy, desiring no other kind of life. His twoleg loved him dearly, giving him everything that he needed and more, but he was old. Eventually, his twoleg became too weak to care for King and the tom had to find what he could to survive. It wasn’t much longer until his twoleg was taken away by a flashing monster, leaving him alone in the dark, cold house. King didn’t know what to do, scrounging for any scraps that he could find.
One day, an unfamiliar twoleg entered the house, leaving the exit open. King took his chance, running away from the only home that he knew. King kept running until he couldn’t anymore, when his legs gave out and he collapsed in the forest. The tom was skinny and weak as all energy left his body. Shortly after his collapse, he is found by a patrol of Thornclan who led him back to the clan where he talked to the leader, Thistlestar.
While in the clan’s camp, he explained to Thistlestar what he had gone through to be in the condition he was in, told him how his twoleg had just left one day. Thistlestar heard the story of King and how he had lost everything. So, King was allowed refuge in the clan until he either has the strength and desire to find a new twoleg or to live life alone.
King was granted permission to train as a warrior but keep his name. However, the tom wasn’t a good hunter or fighter. He had lived a privileged life where he needn’t worry about defending his territory or getting his own food. The tom chose to suffer for a moon, forcing himself to continue training. When he wasn’t getting any better, King went back to Thistlestar who granted him permission to train as a medicine cat.
As King began to train, he discovered that he doesn’t have the brain for it, couldn’t remember the use of the herbs but he found he worked well under pressure. The tom discovered he was good with the queens and kits and knew they needed the extra help with hunting and making nests. So, he helped them when their mates couldn’t, and it took extra pressure off the medicine cats. Thistlestar permitted him to continue doing those new duties but to report to the medicine cats and to help them gather herbs when he wasn’t needed by the queens.
King discovered that while he wasn’t made for clan life initially, he loved the clan; it was his new home and he couldn’t even consider leaving to return to the life that he left.
